FREE Intro to Kundalini Yoga - Sat Sept 25, 1 - 4

FREE Intro to Kundalini Yoga
with Jennifer Kelly
Saturday, September 25, 1-4 pm

Are you new to yoga? Want to expand your current practice? Then this workshop is for you.

In this safe, supportive, uplifting workshop, we will learn the fundamentals of Kundalini Yoga. We will cover the basics of yoga philosophy, pranayama (breath control), mudras ( hand movements), asana (yoga postures), mantras (positive affirmations), and meditation. This is a great workshop for those wanting to learn more about yoga before taking their first formal class. It is also an excellent overview for newer students and a great refresher for current students.

What is Kundalini Yoga? A 5000 year-old science originated in India and brought to the United States by Yogi Bhajan some 40 years ago, Kundalini Yoga is for everyone - a blissful, challenging, celebratory practice that will help you achieve greater joy in your life and relief, too, from back pain, stress, addiction, depression, insomnia, and weight control issues.

How can Kundalini Yoga help me? An inspiring and invigorating combination of movement, sound current, breath, and meditation which promotes relaxation and healing, allowing your spirit to flow freely, Kundalini Yoga is also known as "the yoga of awareness." This practice can release emotional blocks and deepen the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat, a towel, a small pillow, and plenty of water.
